Volunteer Dress Code Volunteers should dress in a manner that is both comfortable and professional looking. It would be helpful if those working as runners wore watches, but this is not required. Men and boys: Please wear slacks and a shirt with a collar, or you may wear a suit and tie, but it is not necessary. No shorts, jeans, or T-shirts, please! Women and girls: Please wear dresses, skirts or slacks. No shorts, jeans, T-shirts or low-cut tight tops, please! If you are working as a badge checker, please wear either slacks or below knee length skirts, as you will be sitting in an elevated chair.
